The Canadian Presidency of the G7 is soon coming to a close, and we, Civil7, are pleased to pass the baton from Canada to France. We warmly invite you to attend the official C7 handover event, which will be held virtually on 4 December, 2025.

This session will offer a moment of reflection on the 2025 C7 process — its achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. Together, we will look back on the year's advocacy efforts and policy priorities, and look ahead to the French Presidency, focusing on opportunities to strengthen civil society engagement and advance shared priorities across the G7 agenda.

Canada holds the G7 presidency in 2025, and Cooperation Canada looks forward to leading the Civil 7 engagement group throughout the year, pushing G7 governments to take bold action on today's most pressing issues.

Join us November 27 at 8am (ET) for the handover event where Italy will look back on 2024, and Cooperation Canada will lay out our plan and priorities for the new C7 presidency.

The 2025 G7 Summit will be in Kananaskis, Alberta. Canada will work with G7 partners on common priorities, such as building economies that benefit everyone, fighting climate change and managing rapidly evolving technologies. Follow closely as the C7 provides reactions to the G7 Leaders' communiqué.

The global C7 ecosystem will gather virtually to discuss the progress of the various thematic working groups on putting forward policy recommendations to the G7. The global consultation will feature interventions from the groups' coordinators and space for Q&A. More information to come soon.

The C7 Summit will be convened as a space for global civil society to discuss important priorities, as well as to present the C7 Communiqué to the G7. Please follow the link below for the Summit program and links to watch the sessions livestreamed.
